Matt is a Senior Vice President and Consultant in the Insurance Brokerage practice in Segal's New York office. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Matt is an expert in Segal's four core services: fiduciary liability, fidelity bonds, employment practices liability and cyber liability insurance. He is involved in the service of many national benefits funds and coordinates marketing and service efforts for Segal in the East Region. He also manages a large book of business for public sector and multiemployer benefit plans and many specialized retiree health VEBAs.

Matt first joined Segal as a part-time file clerk in the Seattle office. After graduating from the University of Washington in 2002, he joined the New York office as an Associate Broker in the Fiduciary Liability Insurance Practice (the precursor to Segal Select). After several promotions, Matt was named a Vice President in 2010 and then Senior Vice President in 2015.

Matt received a BA in Geography from the University of Washington in 2002. He holds resident Property & Casualty Broker and Agent licenses in the state of New York, as well as non-resident licenses in all 50 states. He also holds the Registered Professional Liability Underwriters (RPLU) designation from the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).

Mr. Jackson completed the Cyber COPE® Insurance CertificationSM (CCIC) program in 2020. The certification is offered by a partnership between Chubb Insurance and Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. The certification acknowledges his full understanding of industry best practices in cyber security risk management, governance and operations.
