Senior Vice President, New York, Multiemployer and Public Sector

Mr. Goldsmith is a Senior Vice President in the New York office and the New York Region Leader. He has more than 30 years of experience in the benefits consulting industry and has managed consulting relationships for many of the firm’s health, retirement, compensation and human resource clients in all markets. He has been a member of the Company’s Public Sector Leadership Group since 2006 and served as the Region’s Public Sector Business Leader since 2003.

Mr. Goldsmith joined Segal’s New York office in 1987. He is currently responsible for all aspects of service and delivery to public sector and multiemployer clients in the New York region. Mr. Goldsmith also works with health and welfare clients in service industries and unions.

  • Board of Education Employees’ Pension Fund of Essex County
  • New York/New Jersey United Sandy Hook Pilots
  • United Federation of Teachers’ Health Care Chapter Benefit Fund

Mr. Goldsmith has worked in all three of Segal’s markets including corporate, multiemployer and public sector and has served on the Board of Directors of the firm.

Mr. Goldsmith received a BS in Business Economics from Cook College, Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University. He holds insurance licenses for Life, Accident and Health Benefit consulting.

Mr. Goldsmith has spoken at conferences sponsored by Employee Benefit News, authored numerous articles on compensation issues and been quoted in Inc., Workforce and The Wall Street Journal. He has presented at Segal’s Fund Administrators’ Seminar, held annually in New York, and has co-authored several issues of Segal’s Public Sector Letter.
