Prior to joining Segal, Barbara was Chief Information Security Officer at Tassat, a company that provides digital payments solutions for banks. Previously, she was with Amalgamated Bank where, as its CIO, she led digital and business transformation projects, redesigning the bank’s cybersecurity program, policies and procedures and transforming its business resiliency platform. Earlier in her career, she worked for Marsh & McLennan, Pendulum Consultants and International Fidelity Insurance Company, among others.
Barbara earned an MA in Systems Administration from New York University and a BA in English Literature from Brooklyn College. She attended the Executive Education Program at the MIT Sloan School of Management (Cambridge, MA).
Barbara is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Certified Software Quality Analyst. In addition, the Information Systems and Audit Control Association (ISACA) has certified her both in governance of enterprise IT and in risk and information systems control. She is a member of the ISACA and the Quality Assurance Institute. She’s also a member of the Advisory Board to the School of Business at Mercy College (Dobbs Ferry, NY).
