He has over 30 years of experience in employee benefits and consults to clients on all types of benefit plans, including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life and disability income plans. Vinny has prepared and presented numerous detailed analyses of benefit plans’ financial and claims experience, including annual reports, budget projections and plan design strategies. He is also experienced in pricing plan changes, preparing bid specifications and analyzing the resulting proposals, as well as monitoring renewals and insurance company performance.
Vinny is an expert in dental and prescription drug benefits. He regularly consults to clients on these topics, including leading, developing and managing dental and prescription drug procurements and reviewing, evaluating and designing dental and prescription drug plans for both regional and national plans. He also serves as a national resource for the company on dental and prescription drug benefits, in addition to being Segal’s national subject matter expert on dental benefits and dental plans.
In addition to his client work, Vinny manages and mentors the New England Health Practice and its team of health benefits consultants. He also works closely with all Segal health practitioners to further enhance the high-quality services Segal provides to clients.
Prior to joining Segal, Vinny was employed by a major insurance company as an Actuarial Research Analyst.
Vinny holds a BS in Physics and Astronomy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is a licensed Life, Accident and Health Producer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
