Chris is a Senior Vice President in Segal’s New York office with 25 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. He is the firm’s Corporate Health Practice Leader.

Chris advises corporate and public sector clients in plan design for active employees and retirees (medical, dental, life and disability), performs competitive bidding, advises clients on matters related to the Affordable Care Act, and conducts flex pricing, claims analysis and underwriting projects. He is the Co-Chair of Segal’s Consumerism Committee and Rx Consulting Team and leads the firm’s efforts in assessing the Private Exchange marketplace.

Prior to joining Segal, Chris worked in various capacities throughout the healthcare industry, including:

  • Serving as a financial consultant for a pharmaceutical benefits manager
  • Managing network contracting for a large insurance company
  • Developing disease management programs for a major insurer
  • Managing financial operations at a major academic medical center

Chris received a BS in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA in Healthcare from Baruch College/Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is a licensed Life, Accident and Health Insurance agent and broker.

Chris frequently writes and speaks on a variety of healthcare issues. He has presented at several regional and national benefits and HR forums, and has been quoted in business and trade press.
