On December 18, 2015, President Obama signed into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016 to fund the federal government through 2016 and to extend certain expiring tax provisions.1 The law delays three taxes included in the Affordable Care Act: the 40 percent excise tax on high-cost plans, the health insurance tax and the medical device tax. We provide details about these taxes and the delays.
