Latest Agency Regulations Address the Affordable Care Act’s Rules for Group Health Plans

The Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Labor and Treasury recently published regulations implementing several of the group health mandates included in the Affordable Care Act, the new health reform law.1 The regulations, the third set published by the three federal agencies responsible for implementing the Act,2 provide guidance on the rules that apply to all group health plans, regardless of whether they are "grandfathered" plans, and on the rules that apply to non-grandfathered plans.
