The Segal Company Expands Public Sector Retirement Practice

NEW YORK (7/8/10) – Joseph A. LoCicero, President and CEO of The Segal Company, announced that Kim Nicholl has joined Segal as a Senior Vice President. Ms. Nicholl is working out of the Chicago office with major public sector retirement clients in the Midwest Region and as National Public Sector Retirement Practice Leader.
Mr. LoCicero said, "Ms. Nicholl's arrival represents a further commitment and an important expansion of our already well-established and highly-regarded Public Sector Retirement Practice. We are sure that her experience in working with public sector retirement plans will enhance the services we are already providing to our public sector clients throughout the U.S."

Ms. Nicholl is joining the firm's Public Sector Retirement group that includes senior practitioners across the U.S.: Paul Angelo (San Francisco), Leon F. Joyner, Jr. (Atlanta), Brad Ramirez (Denver), Kathleen Riley (Boston) and Howard Rog (New York). John Gingell, Senior Vice President and Midwest Regional Manager indicated that "Having Kim as an additional Midwest resource demonstrates Segal's commitment to the public sector market."
Ms. Nicholl has more than 25 years of experience as an actuary and consultant, most recently, as Managing Director of Public Sector Retirement Consulting for PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has also been National Director of Governmental Consulting for Buck and a Consulting Actuary for The Wyatt Company (now Towers Watson). She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (and serves on its Public Pensions Subcommittee), a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary. Ms. Nicholl is a frequent speaker — she has appeared at conferences sponsored by the National Council on Teacher Retirement, the National Conference of Public Employee Retirement Systems, National Association of State Retirement Administrators, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Loyola University (Chicago).
