The Opportunity

We seek a qualified individual who can step into a senior-level consulting role within the Corporate Benefits business unit.

The successful candidate will join a growing corporate consulting business and interact with a highly talented, dedicated and collegial professional staff. This is an officer-level opportunity involving the potential for stock ownership in a privately owned company. The role will permit the incumbent to influence and drive firm differentiation in the marketplace, provide thought leadership in the area of healthcare and employee benefits consulting; and assume a lead role in guiding the growth of our corporate market consulting presence in the Higher Education and Hospital/Health Systems marketplace.

The Role

The person we are seeking demonstrates deep understanding of healthcare and employee benefit service offerings with strong core technical underwriting and/or actuarial skills and a broad understanding of the corporate market's total service offerings. The incumbent will have a penchant for business development, and an ability to translate a client's business strategies and human resources needs into servicing and revenue opportunities. The incumbent will:

Collaborate with management and others in the Corporate Benefits New York Practice and company to service the consulting needs of Health clients.
Play an active role in developing business in the NY-metro area, building the Sibson brand, and collaborating on building a pipeline of opportunities and prospects to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
Managing select client relationships leading complex projects, and collaborating to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to sell a full-range of employee benefits consulting services.
Contribute leadership by coordinating and/or contributing to initiatives to build intellectual capability, organization skill and know-how around the delivery of creative group benefit and health benefit programs.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of consulting experience in healthcare and/or employee health benefits area in the Higher Education and/or Hospital Health Systems industries. The individual will have also have demonstrated business leadership, business development and complex project management skills. Also required are effective interpersonal and communication (oral/written) skills and ability to work collaboratively and influentially with a diverse audience of colleagues and clients.
