- What college majors would best prepare me for a career at Segal?
- It depends on the career you are interested in. If actuarial consulting, then a quantitative-oriented degree (e.g., Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics) is most relevant. If you are seeking a career in one of our Human Capital consulting practices, a degree in Human Resources, Organization Development and/or Organization/Human Behavior might be most relevant. Generally, however, a degree that develops one's quantitative skills and ability to think critically and solve complex problems is desirable.

- I'm mid-career with work experience in a field other than consulting. Is there a place for me at Segal?
- There may be, depending on what your work experience to date has been. Moving into consulting mid-career does pose some challenges, but there are many people who have the skills and expertise to make the transition. It does, however, take a considerable amount of commitment, self-awareness, openness to coaching, and willingness to share the risks inherent in changing careers. It may also require flexibility when it comes to "your" compensation requirements.
